Aptean Process Manufacturing for Food and Beverage was designed to accommodate the scenarios your business will likely face as a food and beverage producer.

More Food and Beverage Industry-Specific Functionality

Bulk material is often produced in a blender, silo, pan or cutter in a production batch process. Our solution enables batch sizing, allowing you to figure out how many batches are needed to produce the desired quantity of a product. You can also determine the required quantity of the needed raw materials per batch. When it comes to backflushing, the standard process in Dynamics 365 Business Central is confusing and requires tracking information be manually assigned by the user; our solution streamlines this process.

Production picking in Business Central is per production order. This simply doesn’t reflect the reality of a food and beverage environment. Instead, we’ve made it so components can be consolidated for all production orders that are scheduled on a particular date or assigned to a specific work center. Then a single pick can be executed against that consolidated effort.

We’ve integrated flexible consumption posting since shop floor operators have very little time to manually post consumption in real-time at fast-paced production facilities. Consumption can be allocated between a main item and co-products when one or more co-products are recorded within a production order’s intended output. And of course – the food and beverage industry requires flexibility. So if one ingredient is substituted for another (or an additional output is recorded), users can quickly add extra lines to an existing production order to better facilitate accurate production posting.
